Tibby is an invoicing platform for freelancers and independent professionals. The Client Portal allows you to view, manage, and pay invoices sent to you by freelancers using Tibby.
These terms apply to clients using the Client Portal to view or pay invoices they have received. If you are a freelancer sending invoices with Tibby, the Platform Terms of Service apply to you instead.
Tibby is a service of Blue Rhizome V.O.F., Mathenesserlaan 273 B, 3021 HG Rotterdam, the Netherlands, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KVK) under number 76801969. BTW (VAT) number NL860793941B01. These terms form an agreement between you and Blue Rhizome V.O.F.
When you receive invoices from multiple freelancers who use Tibby, these invoices may be shown together in your Client Portal dashboard. This allows you to view and manage all your invoices in one place.
This aggregation is based on your unique client reference number (Tibby-ID), which is derived from your company registration number (KVK) or email address. The Tibby-ID appears on invoices for reference purposes.
Each client is assigned a unique reference number (Tibby-ID) derived from their company registration number or email address. This reference:
The Client Portal only displays invoice data that was already sent to you by email. No internal business data from freelancers (notes, tags, internal rates, profit margins) is ever shown.
Specifically, you can see:
Client invoices may be shown alongside invoices from other Tibby users in the Client Portal when addressed to the same client. This is necessary for the unified invoice management experience.
Crucially, no freelancer ever sees invoices from other freelancers. Cross-freelancer aggregation happens only on the client's screen, only at the moment they're logged in. Each freelancer's view of you is limited to the invoices they personally issued.
By using the Client Portal, you acknowledge that:
The first time you arrive at a portal page with invoices from more than one freelancer, an in-product disclosure modal explains the above. Dismissing it does not waive your right to object.
All payments are processed through Mollie, a PCI-certified payment service provider. Tibby never stores your payment details. A 0.5% application fee is applied to each payment.
You can view and pay invoices using magic links sent by email. Guest sessions are valid for 72 hours.
You may optionally create an account for persistent access to your invoice dashboard, payment history, and export features.
We are not a party to your agreement with the freelancer. The invoices you see here are created and sent by the freelancers who issued them. We are not responsible for the goods or services invoiced, for whether an invoice is correct, or for any dispute about it — those are matters between you and the freelancer who sent it, and you should raise them directly with them.
What we are responsible for is the Portal itself. We work hard to keep it accurate and available, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access, and we are not responsible for outages or errors at Mollie, at your bank, or at other services the Portal relies on.
Where we are liable, our liability — on any legal basis, whether in contract, in tort (onrechtmatige daad) or otherwise — is limited to the greater of €500 and the amount of the invoice concerned that you paid through the Portal.
That limit does not apply to liability for death or personal injury, to damage caused by our intent or deliberate recklessness, or anywhere mandatory law does not allow liability to be limited. If you are acting as a consumer, nothing in these terms affects your rights under mandatory consumer law.
These limits are agreed for the benefit of Blue Rhizome V.O.F. and, as an irrevocable third-party stipulation, also for its partners, its personnel, and anyone it engages to help operate the Portal — who may each invoke this section directly, in respect of the same claims and on whatever legal basis they are brought.
We may transfer these terms, and our rights and obligations under them, to another entity that continues to operate the Portal, in connection with a transfer of the business or a change of our legal form. You agree in advance to that transfer, and we will tell you when it happens.
If you would rather not continue with the new operator, you may dissolve these terms and close your portal account with effect from the date of the transfer, at no cost to you.
If any part of these terms turns out to be invalid or unenforceable, the rest stays in force, and the part concerned is replaced by a valid one that comes as close as possible to what it was meant to do. Nothing in this section affects your rights under mandatory consumer law.
For questions about these terms, contact us at info@tibby.io, or by post at Blue Rhizome V.O.F., Mathenesserlaan 273 B, 3021 HG Rotterdam, the Netherlands (KVK 76801969).
